Bobby Bush - guitar

Bobby grew up in a Fort Worth suburb. He started playing guitar in elementary school and then turned pro in 1979. He met Jim and Peggy in 1983 at the first North Texas Irish Festival. After a spell playing and recording with harpist Judith Romero, he joined Threadneedle St almost 30 years ago. He is a writer by trade.

Jim Brunke - drums

Jim had his start in music at age 5 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin with 10 years of violin lessons. Though he pursued a career as an elementary education teacher, in 1973 he began playing percussion in an early music group. Soon after that he started playing bodhran with a Celtic band. He performed music full-time for over 20 years with his wife, Peggy and has been active in the Texas Irish music scene for almost 40 years.

Peggy Turner - flute/recorder/whistle

Peggy has a Music Performance and Education degree and attended college in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She studied traditional Irish flute with Noel Rice in Chicago. After performing full-time for over 20 years with her husband, Jim, in various early music and traditional Celtic groups she started a teaching career 16 years ago. She currently teaches music full-time in a Ft. Worth elementary school.

Melina Shaffer - fiddle

Melina began studying the violin at age 6 as one of the first Suzuki students in Odessa, Texas. She earned her degree in Music Education from Texas Tech University where she got into the celtic music scene after a chance encounter with an exchange student from Scotland. After moving to the DFW area, Melina attended an Irish session in Arlington, met Peggy, Jim and Bobby, and quickly became a member of Threadneedle St. She currently teaches orchestra at Juan Seguin High School and enjoys spending time with her husband, Curt, and her daughters, Miah and Margot.
